Peak 3986- The Forgotten Ridge V 5.10R Lone Pine Peak area
Sunday September 16, 2012 12:51pm
Amy Ness and I spent two days (Sep 11-12, 2012) climbing this long
spiraling ridge. We managed to climb it in 11 very long pitches. The
route had wide variety of climbing and terrain. We finished with an
800ft simul-climb to get the hell off. Worried about water along the
massive hike up Tuttle Creek canyon we were truly surprised and over
joyed when we found a seep of water coming out of the granite wall a few
hundred yards below the start of the route. We sucked some granite
slime and filled some jugs. The wall appeared to shrink as we got closer
then only grew and grew as we started climbing. Here are some photos,
topo, and route line.
